Moral philosophy/Philosophy 61 Spring 2010 Study Recommendation for the Mid Term TIME of TEST: 1 hr. 10 minutes. 1. You will be able to have one sheet (one side only ) of information to use during the Mid Term. Please have your name on the top of this sheet. You will turn in this sheet with your test. 2. Some of the questions on the Mid Term will be ‘repeats’ from the first quiz. Please use your first quiz as a study guide and put those questions/answers on your sheet for the test. 3. Questions on the Mid Term will include Chapters 1, 2,3 (from first quiz) and Chapters 4,5,6, 7. Also, you will write a short essay on the Kitty Genovese story. Possible questions on the assigned readings of Chapters 4, 5,6,7,8 are: Chapter 4: Reading: Brandt What does Brandt mean when he says an action is “morally blameworthy?” What is Brandt’s definition of suicide? Are there suicides that show some defect of character and are thus morally blameworthy? Reading: Brock
