Ch2 - 5 key characteristic of an org that is responding effectively to the current management environment o Network o Flat – opposed to tall (organizational structure o Flexible o Diverse o Global - What implications do they have? o Network – people skills, coaching, persuasion instead of formal authority. o Flat – as an employee you need to be a highly motivated self starter and good negotiation skills. o Flexible – Managers need Changation skills are needed. Coping with a resistance to change. Helping people learn how to learn. As an employee you need to be self dependant and learn things quickly.
