Comm20 Pardoe 3-3-06 Informative Speech Outline Lake Tahoe Specific Purpose: To inform the audience about three of Lake Tahoe’s attractions. Introduction To this day, it is very difficult to find a great vacation town away from home that is still in range for a car ride. As a family, we set out to visit Lake Tahoe for the first time, and, since then, it has become my number one outlet for a place away from home. Today, I’d like to explain about Lake Tahoe’s lake, Lake Tahoe’s mountain range, and its downtown region. Body I. First, I’d like to talk about Lake Tahoe’s beautiful lake. A. Lake Tahoe is one of the highest, largest, deepest, and coldest lakes in the world which is located on the CA and NV border line. 1. 10,000 years ago, Lake Tahoe was a summer gathering place for three bands of Washoe Indians. 2. AAA, in their book, Northern California & Nevada Tour Book, explains that, “Lake Tahoe, which holds enough water to cover the entire state of California to a depth of 14 inches, was named “big water” by the
