Professor Casey Bus 80 17 March 2008 Discussion Questions 1. Another deterrent to ethical behavior in the business and also so in our day to day life is habit. I believe by repeatedly doing some thing make you numb of the harm it is causing. For example, lying, it might be hard to lie at first but as you do it more and more lying becomes easier and more comfortable. So if a company ignores unethical behaviors and that behaviors are done repeatedly, the behavior could become a habit. In worst case, the company will not even realize that the behavior is unethical. 2. It is very common for the business firm to act ethically but not in a socially responsible manner. For example, if a company made billions of dollars by selling goods to the public, public expect the company to give some things back. Clearly the company is very ethical even though they do not give back some of the profit through charity or donations but the public might think that the company is greedy and not socially responsible. This question just reminds me of the movie
