Professor Denzler BUS140 17 September, 2008 Gateway Inc. Going “Green” The Gateway website offers an entire page where they explain their efforts in taking care of the environment. It seems that they understand that today’s consumer places high value on the environment, so the page tries to show the ways in which the company is environmentally friendly. Most of the stuff, however, seems to only show that they are simply complying with the laws and regulations that are set. In other words, they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. I would have liked to have seen more detailed descriptions as to what exactly the company is doing to fulfill the objectives that it sets out to do. They only have the things that they want to achieve and what their goals are, but they don’t provide any plans as to how they are going to achieve them. One thing that Gateway does seem to be doing is creating a program where customers could recycle old computer products. Just from looking at the companies webpage one would think that the company is
