AMERICAN STUDIES 169 sec 01 THE AMERICAN DREAM SPRING 2010 – GUENTER REVISED END OF SEMESTER COURSE SCHEDULE Because of some minor changes due in part to the inadvertent omission of a required furlough day for all faculty, I thought it best to distribute a revised course schedule for the last three weeks of class. Please note that the date, time, and location of the final are not affected in any way. WEEK 14 Tuesday April 27 This is a Furlough Day so there will be no class meeting. Use this time off to view the film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006) , taking notes to respond in particular to the class discussion prompts on the film (see handout posted on class web page) with specific evidence or references. Also read the related materials on Borat posted on the class web page. A copy of the film will be accessible for viewing at the IRC listed under the course number and the instructor’s name. It is also available on Netflix.
