Short Story Assignment—Due April 12th—5-10 pages (more or less). Rough draft due to me on March 24 th , whatever you have, 3+ pages ideal Mandatory fiction workshop April 7 th . Your final fiction piece must be uploaded to turnitin.com. If you have written two or more separate pieces, please include them in one file for turnitin. Since stories are as individual as the writers who create them, this assignment s topic is open (though I do have a focus, for those who need a prompt). You are to create a five to ten page short story (or two shorter pieces, if you like), which follows some sort of coherent plot, has at least one character, takes place in a setting of some kind, has at least one instance of dialogue, and has a definite beginning, middle, and an end. If you are writing a story based on real life, you will need to invent details such as a different setting, place, and time, and create at least somewhat fictional characters, to distinguish your story from nonfiction.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
