Section 16 Callaway 10/17/06 Violence in America Violence in America comes in many forms, and it is constantly under discussion since it is so vital for a country to progress. I have analyzed a specific manifestation which I found to be the cause of such violence. Violence in America has severely become a great part of our youth’s lifestyles due to the publicized influences of fighting. There have been several new televised fighting programs which have captured many of the viewer’s attention. In accordance, this cause leaves drastic effects. The first effect is that everyone can see the fighting on television. The last effect I will discuss is that people result in injuries when fighting. In the past several years, the popularity of fighting as a sport has grown tremendously. Many television channels have added fighting programs to their weekly schedules. The trend is mainly among cable channels, such as Fox Sports Net, HD Net, Spike, ESPN, and occasionally others. Wrestling has been around for many years, and
