Rockefeller and their strategies to establish monopolies in their industries and the politics of laissez-faire. How did they rationalize their extreme wealth? 2. What were the characteristics of the “New Immigrants” who came to the U.S. in the last decades of the nineteenth and first decades of the twentieth centuries?
