With the Beijing Olympics only about a year away, big Corporations are busy in adapting the cultures of China to enter the market. One of the companies that have successfully entered the market is Starbucks. Starbuck opened its first store in Beijing’s China World Hotel mall in 1999 and now opened and profiting in over 300 locations through out main land China. Starbuck’s chairman Howard Schultz stated that this is just the beginning of the plans of developments in China. Over the years, Starbucks hit walls after walls in trying to persuade the Chinese to drink coffee rather than tea, which have been the preferred drink of Chinese people for centuries.
