Paper 1: “Self, family, and the 12 domains of culture” (2+ pages) Using the concepts in chapters 1 and 2, create a cultural portrait of yourself and your family. Include primary and secondary characteristics of culture, as stated in chapter 1, and as many of the 12 domains (biocultural ecology is not required) as relate. If your family heritage is of 2 cultures, you may choose one or include both. If you have no knowledge of the cultural origin of your family, go back as far as you can. Just use common sense and do what you can. The goal of the paper is for you to “deepen your roots”: to gain a more rewarding understanding of your family, your culture, and yourself. In the process, you may create a valuable document and legacy for your family. Minimum 2 complete pages (however, I have yet to see a satisfactory paper of that minimal length); no maximum length. The paper should utilize APA format

Allow at least 15 minutes at the end for class discussion. Everyone must participate in the oral presentations, and everyone must contribute a typed summary of library research. The purpose is to gain additional insight into peoples of diverse cultures. Each group should divide content between the members that will meet the following objectives, and be coordinated so there is no overlap or repetition of content:
