    Cognitive Learning Styles Cognitive learning styles might be thought of as  cognitive, affective, and physiological traits that  are relatively stable indicators of how learners  perceive, interact with, and respond to the  learning environment. Individuals show general tendencies toward one  style or another, but different contexts may  evoke different styles in the same individual.

    Styles vs. Strategies Cognitive styles are individual  preferences for processing. Strategies, on the other hand, are  specific methods of approaching a  problem or task, modes of operation for  achieving a particular end, planned  designs for controlling and manipulating  certain information – a kind of battle plan.
