Case Study 5.31.What’s the problem at WCBA? WCBA was popular amongst the students as well as Ann who was the program director. Despite the popularity the radio is facing. Some students are not following the rules and regulations that were set by the college. They are in violation of FCC rules which is very illegal. The other problem at WBCA is the perception of the rules not being enforced. They are ignoring the rules set by the FCC. She is not disciplining the violators nor voicingthe specific behavior she knows is wrong. 2.Using SLII as a basis, what would you advise Ann to do differently at the station? Using SLII as a basis, Ann should be 100% sure that the students have the capabilities before allowing them to get on the air. Ann does provide the training neededand motivates the students about their performance. However, she needs to provide more training regarding the rules and regulations.It seems that Ann may be just a little to nice which is what allows the students to basically do whatever they want. Ann needs to set strict polices, make everyone accountable, and provide repercussions for anyone who fails to follow the rules while being on air at the station.
