Study Guide for S.W. 214 Exam 1 Spring, 2008 The exam will be in-class and closed book/closed notes. Approximately 45 minutes will be allotted for the exam. The questions will be objective, including 10 true/false questions worth ½ point each (5 points) and 15 multiple-choice questions (1 point each). To prepare for the exam, students should : Carefully review notes from class lectures and discussions, paying particular attention to key concepts and terms. If you have been absent from one or more of the class sessions, be sure to review another student's notes. Also review handout materials distributed in class. Understand the following terms and concepts : Definitions of small groups and formal organizations. Types of groups and differences between types of groups including therapy, mutual aid/support, psychoeducational, self-help, and task groups.
