You are never done with any previous stage; (for example, we dont want to lose innocence, passion, or wonder) Maturation is beneficial because a society is healthiest when it contains a fair share of (healthy) people in each of the 8 stages. We move to the next stage by falling in love with the stage you are in; by addressing the tasks of your current stage During each stage we seek our place in the world. Profound lack of healthy parents, leaders and elders (wise ones, masters) psychological maturity has become an uncommon achievement and genuine elderhood (wise ones, masters) nearly nonexistent....
