GAP ANALYSIS 2Executive SummaryMethodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) is non-profit based healthcare organization which is located in Memphis, Tennessee. Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare capitalizes on Community Health Need Assessment (CHNA) whereby the organization performs a need assessment for different communities every three years (Greaney, 2015). CHNA is an important toll in meeting the needs of community members including the specific needs of infants, women, senior citizens as well as minority groups. This way, LLH ensures that it meets its community health needs through gathering sufficient information on the health of their community for use in planning (Greaney, 2015). As a result, the organization has been able to identify organizations in various communities that best suites the specific community needs. The identification of the community needs through the community health need assessment enables the organization to prioritize its efforts on specific health needs. This way MLH is able to formulate effective strategies and implement them so as to address their community needs. In addition, a community health need assessment helps MLH in resource planning (Greaney, 2015). The identification of the specific community needs enables the organization to capitalize on these needs by using the limited resource available and capability on the most important needs (Frates, 2014).Currently, MLH capitalizes on “Access to Health Services, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease & Stroke, Injury & Violence Maternal, Infant, & Child Health, Mental Health, Nutrition & Weight Status and Respiratory Diseases” (methodisthealth.org, 2016). Methodist Le Bonheur extends its provision of quality care to people that do not visit their hospitals.
