Abstract An heat exchanging process which consists of umixed cross-flowing of the enviroment's air with a recirculated hot water was analyzed using a heat exchanger laboratory unit which uses purified water. This experiment demonstrates the heat and energy transfers of both fluids, which consists of filtered air entering the ducting and going through a VAV damper , the heat exchanger and then passing the pressure sensors at the outlet where the fan that is driving the whole process is further down the ductings. Measurements of temperatures were taken at inlet, outlet of the process as well as the inlet and outlet of closed boiler system. Measurements of pressure which was converted to flowrates by the measurement systerm was taken at the recirculating water piping, and the outlet. The experimental results indicates that due to experimental uncertainty, heat transfer values obtained from experimental calculations differed from theoretical values. Although we expected diferentiations in the results due to the warning of operating the VAV damper under 85 %, we did not expect it to be as large as 80%.
