Possibilities include “hybrid” Englishes (Chinglish, Vietlish, Spanglish, Hip Hop, etc.) or jargons (“skateboardese,” “computerese,” “restaurantese,” “retailese,” military jargon, etc.). First, identify the speakers of your dialect – what sets them apart from speakers of Standard American English (age, geography, class, ethnicity, etc.)? Give an account of the vocabulary of your dialect. What words are used only by speakers of this dialect? Give examples of sentences that include these words and situations in which they might be used. Propose definitions for these words.
