Students must commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week of lab work per unit of credit. Office Hours: Wednesdays at 11:00 AM and Fridays at 9:00 AM or by appointment Course Description: Basic research in biochemistry, generally involving extensive organic synthesis of biologically active molecules followed by biological evaluation. See web site for details on various projects. Prerequisite: Interest in biochemistry, CHEM 112B (Organic Chemistry II). CHEM 120S (Chemical Safety), and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
