Politician for Hope Defining hope is easy; it is the feeling that what is wanted can be had. Defining a politician is almost as simple, it is a person involved in the politics of government, a seeker or holder of public office. They become hard to define when the two nouns stand together to become a phrase. The phrase can mean different things for different people. Depending on your situation, your background, your lifestyle, who you are and what you stand for all have a say in how you personally define a “Politician for Hope.” Generally I think we can agree that a politician for hope is one who stands out above the rest because his or her principles are based around the feeling that what is wanted and needed for the general populace in which they represent can be achieved and had. Also a politician who has his or her own principles, ideals, beliefs, and etc. and not one’s adopted from outside influences such as pressure from other party members, lobbyists, or special interest groups. In today’s world these kinds of politicians are hard to find, there are few out there that truly stand by those values. Luckily out of the scarce few, one of them is running for president of the United States of America; his name is Barack Obama. He, I can say with confidence, is that kind of politician. He motivates the feeling of hope in every individual who stands with him. Barack Obama is the perfect example of a politician that stands for hope.
