Professor Rader Beginning Golf Handicapping Handicapping is a great way to level the playing field among seasoned veterans and amateurs. As someone who has played with very experienced golfers I find that the handicap system puts more fun into the game instead of admitting defeat from the very beginning. Although I haven’t had the chance to play 20 rounds of golf in order to take my best 10 to figure out my handicap, I have been keeping track of my handicap differential.

Finding my handicap differential I take my score minus the course rating multiplied by 113 divided by the slope rating. All in all this scoring system allows the balance and fairness of the game to take place and make it much more exciting to play a round of golf with whomever you play with....
