Eng. 100 wb 9/26/08 WST Appeal Dear Dr. Doresz, I am writing to you in hope that you will grant me a waiver on the WST exam in order to help me to graduate on time. I have now taken the WST test 5 times and have yet to pass it. The problem is not that I am a bad writer. The problem is that I do not have enough time to write a good paper. I am a good writer when given enough time. I have attached scanned copies of a few of my papers that I have written throughout my coursework at SJSU so that you can see how well I can write when given enough time. I believe that given my past papers and my good grades I should be waved of having to pass the WST in order to qualify for English 100w. If you grant me this waiver I promise you I will work my hardest in the class and am

Unformatted text preview: confident I can pass the class without passing the WST. I have worked extremely hard to ensure that I am eligible for graduation in the fall of 2000. I received good marks in all classes I have completed so far and have yet to fail any of them. I am determined to work just as hard to complete my coursework in English 100w as I have to complete my prior courses at SJSU. I am really hoping that with the proof of my writing skills from my past reports and papers and the fact that I have done well to pass all my prior courses you will consider waiving the WST exam for me.
