GOVERNMENT I. Resolutional Analysis a. Background information / story leading into the resolution The battle between Apple computers and PC’s has been going on since the mid 1980’s. Macintosh was introduced to its Board of Directors and to the world in 1984, during that time IBM was the leading producer of computers in the Personal Computer Market. There has been much debate between which company produces the better product. This is why we firmly stand behind the resolution that This House believes Apples are better than PCs. b. Definition(s) of key terms in the resolution User Friendly: “Refers to anything that makes it easier for novices to use a computer. Menu driven programs, for example, are considered more user-friendly command driven programs. Graphical User Interfaces (GUI’s) are also considered user-friendly.
