Bus 10 Hover 11/20/06 Top Companies Initially I went into my research after the “top ten largest companies in San Jose.” Now that I began my work, I came across much more interesting information regarding local companies which made me think about how and what bases the companies been ranked. There is a sufficient amount of information that can be used when companies get ranked that is why I came across much more information than I was searching for. I used several sources in my search beginning with SF Gate, which is incorporated with the San Francisco Chronicle, via the internet. This site had a number of charts used to show different rankings, which all were used in covering The Chronicle 200. The Chronicle 200 is a list of firms ranked by their revenue covering from March of 2004-2005. The main interests of the chart included sales, market cap, total return, and net income. The Chronicle 200 was selected from companies based in the Bay Area. Through this site, I was able to find a distinctive map of the Chronicle 200 by county. Among the ten
