Works Cited Page Instructions This is the final phase of a five-phase semester-long that required you to research a single film’s history of production , distribution , exhibition , and reception in order to assess how that film fits into dominant or alternate (or perhaps combines) categories of film practice . Phases 1-4 focused on finding sources about and researching the production, distribution, exhibition, reception, and interpretation of your film. Phase 5 is a 5-7 page essay in which you will 1) define alternative and dominant film; 2) present an argument about your film and the extent to which its production, distribution, exhibition, reception, and interpretation histories identify it as dominant, alternative, or perhaps a mix or hybrid .
