Gourse Goals and Student Learning Objectives Pronunciation, grammar and syntactical structure are an integral part of the course. 1. Leam the Hebrew alphabet and basic vocabulary. 2. Read and write in Hebrew at the novice level. 3. Develop speaking and listening skills necessaryto deal with familiar survival skills 4. Ask simple questions or respond to simple questions and statements. 5. Provide some personal background information. 6. Acquire some cultural knowledge through the study and practice of Hebrew. 7. Learn pronunciation, basic grarnmar concepts, and syntactical structures. Required Texts/Read in gs 1. (Thousand Hebrew Words, by Aharon Rosen. (Provided by the teacher) 2.
