Multiple Sclerosis is an inflammatory disease of the brain and spinal cord, but mostly it is a disease of the white matter tissue in the nerves. I. What is multiple sclerosis? A. Multiple sclerosis is a disease that affects the central nervous system. 1. It affects thousands of people annually. 2. Multiple sclerosis is very hard to diagnose. B. No one in this world gets multiple sclerosis the exact same way. 1. If you are affected with multiple sclerosis patches of lesions will appear in your central nervous system. 2. Multiple sclerosis is a very slow progressing disease. II. There are many different symptoms of multiple sclerosis. A. Even if you have one of the symptoms that do not mean that you have multiple sclerosis. 1. Some symptoms of multiple sclerosis can be Optic Neuritis meaning blurred vision, eye pain, or blindness.
