Communication- is the process by which a message is encoded, transmitted and is decoded
(process of the transfer of a message, it’s a social activity, it’s learned, it’s fundamental to
human survival, experiment to figure out what language Adam and Eve spoke, a king did not let
baby’s get communication.

Sender, message, channel, receiver.
.. something to communicate, what you have to say, the
physical way to deliver the message, the receiver gets it. The receiver delivers feedback to the
sender. Noise interferes the message from being delivered (semantic –the language is not the
same, mechanical- the machine is not working, battery dying, environmental- something outside
the system that make so that the message is misunderstood) gets in the way of the feedback
Intrapersonal (talking to yourself, communicating with yourself), interpersonal (between people,
phone calls), group (small groups of people, no more than 7 people), organization (bigger
groups like are university e news) and mass communication (like TV.)
Form of communication (yell, scream, cry) depends of context
Medium of comm. – what form of communication you use to deliver message. (text (form)to
books (medium), image to magazine, sounds to radio, video to TV and all of these together are
delivered to the audience.
