Senior Economics Class Requirements and Policies 2010-2011 1. Course Information : Economics, Mrs. Aguirre-Simpson , room 114 email: phone: 760-727-7284 x72230 2. Course Summary: The course will pursue a deeper understanding of economic theories, economic systems, financial markets, and consumer’s role in the American economic system through interactive activities and reflective opportunities. 3. Course Topics: Supply and demand, opportunity costs, domestic and international competition, playing the stock market, fiscal and monetary policies, Federal Reserve System, and the labor market. Also, the value of civil responsibility. 4. Textbook : Economics in our Times by Roger Arnold MUST BRING BOOK TO CLASS EVERYDAY! 5. Class Rules : 1. Treat EVERYONE with respect 2. NO eating in the classroom 3. Keep the class clean – NO spiral paper allowed! 4. No grooming 5. No electronic devices visible or “on” 6. The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell. 6. Grading : Grades are on a cumulative point basis.

Attendance is extremely important: An absence may require making-up time and work You will have 1 school day to make-up missed work or test. Only excused absences will receive this courtesy.
