Abstract This experiment shows the various techniques used to separate and identify three different liquids from a mixture of all three. The given mixture was sample number 25. The separation was performed using fractional distillation. The compounds were then identified using different techniques. The boiling points of the obtained liquids were used as a reference to narrow down the possible liquids of the mixture.
