LATEST IN TENNIS (as on August 11, 2010) Today Roger Federer beat Juan Ignacio Chela and reached the third round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto in his first match after he crashed out at Wimbledon in June 2010. Federer edged the first set against the Argentine before winning 7-6 (9-7) 6-3."It was a good match. It's normal that you are rusty after six weeks," said Federer, who shockingly lost quarter-final to Tomas Berdych in London. Also today, David Nalbandian and Fernando Verdasco progressed, with Andy Murray set to play Xavier Malisse on Wednesday. Malisse of Belgium worked hard to edge out Michael Berrer 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 and set up a second-round clash with Murray, Britain's world number four, who had the luxury of a first-round bye. The former world number three, who won his first title for 20 months in Washington following injury problems, came through 7-5 3-6 6-3 to reach round two and extend his winning streak to seven matches.
