Well I would like to start off by stating that all five of these are networks. Networks are used to connect computers to a central access point. Now from this point is where each type of network will start to become different, this all depends on the user’s needs. I will describe the LANs. LANs are local area network. These types of networks will connection computers, printers, fax and many other devices that can be used by many computers. LANs are one of the most used networks to connect people at home to an internet service provider. Next we have the WANs. The WANs is a wide area network. WANs network is generally two or more LANs network that will cross a large distance of land. This network is mainly used by corporations to connect to factories and warehouses. Each one of these building on the network must have its own computers and programs; they just share information between each other. Now we can move on to the CANs. CANs are campus area networks.
