Here’s a paraphrase Zhuang Zi happily accepts the Dao and enjoys his freedom by using fantastic, vivid imagery. He goes beyond a division between life and death, seeing them as pieces of the same process and both a welcome part of that process. (CP p.38) N This version is very close to the original. It is similar in length and detail, and uses some of the same terms but is not a direct quotation.

Here’s a summary Zhuang Zi celebrates life and death as part of the Dao. (CP p. 38) N This version covers a key point from the quotation but is much shorter and uses fewer details.
