Vectors A vector is determined by its magnitude AND direction . Definition A vector is an ordered triple (in space) where addition and multiplication by scalars holds: (a 1 , a 2 , a 3 ) + (b 1 , b 2 , b 3 )=(a 1 + b 1 , a 2 + b 2 , a 3 + b 3 ) α (a 1 , a 2 , a 3 )= a 1 , α a 2 , α a 3 ) Notation: Use arrow to indicate vector, for example, OP represents vector (a 1 , a 2 , a 3 ) where O (0, 0, 0) is the origin and P (a 1 , a 2 , a 3 ) is some point in the space.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
