Duane Situation Before Duane decides what to do about his major he can do many things to make sure he is going in the right direction. First, he needs to ask himself what he really wants to do with his life and not worry about what everyone wants from him. At the end of the day, it’s his life and his job he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. He then needs to figure out if he is interested in another field or he is just worried about his bad grades but still wants to stick with engineering. If the problem is just his grade then there are different things he can do about it. He can go and try to get help by getting a tutor, going to office hours, setting up a study group, and studying longer. If he just wants to go in a different direction there’s also solutions to that. He can start looking for another major he is interested in and if he doesn’t

He could also be taking more classes that might interest him and influence him to pick a specific major. If he decides to change his major he needs to talk to an advisor as well as look up information about that specific major. He needs to know the different classes he is going to need to take as well as the difficulty of the schedule. It would also be good for him to talk to other people that are in correlation to the major, that way they can give him information he didnt already know about the major. The most important thing he needs to figure out is what he wants to study and what will make him happier ....
