There are many different work values, and putting them in perspective will not only help you choose a major but you will be happy with your choice. Knowing what you’re passionate about as well as knowing your values are the first things you should think about when choosing a career. For example, I want to be an engineer, no because of the paycheck or because people respect them. The reason I want to be an engineer is because there’s so many possibilities to help the community. Becoming an engineer means I can build hospitals, orphanages, and school for those communities in need. Your work values are essential when picking a major. Taking your values into account when thinking about the job you want to have for the rest of your life is maybe one of the most important factors that

If you dont believe in something you shouldnt be force to do it, especially not for the rest of your life. Picking a major shouldnt be just about the money or the prestige you get from it. All the money and fame in world wont give you happiness. Many people choose their major based on the income they will receive and also on what other people think of that career. If your passion is teaching then you should be an educator and not a doctor just because they make more money and are more reputable....
