I am a very hard worker. In high school I maintain all A’s, was a part of many clubs, a member of National Honor Society, and on the Varsity Tennis Team. Last semester, my first semester of college, I earned a 4.0 grade point average. I am on the Fall 2009 Dean's List and earned a spot into The University of North Texas' Honors College. I am completely dedicated to my education. Along with my great grades, I also work as the Student Assistant in the Dean’s Office of College of Information at University of North Texas. At this time I am considering two careers, one in mathematics and one in medicine. I am leaning towards medicine because I want to make a difference in the world. My grandmother was diagnosed with

Unformatted text preview: Alzheimer’s about 7 years ago. Since then, I've watched her forget everyone she loves, including her husband of 65 years. This experience has pushed me into research of Alzheimer’s because I believe we can find a cure to stopping Alzheimer’s. I know acquiring a medical degree will take lots of time and lots of money, but I know it will be worth it, and even though it is too late for my grandmother, I hope it will not be too late for others in the future. I also know that being about of the Honors College is only going to help me with my career goals. Such as the dinner and lecture for pre-med students with special guests that are doctors or surgeons....
