SURNAME 1 Name Professor Course Date Human Ecology Ecology is the science that deals with the study of the interrelationships between the living organisms and the environment. Human ecology is the science of relationships between human and the environment. The situation, in this case, is the ecosystem in which all the living, non-living things, and human-made structures are found. Ecosystem varies in size depending on its components. For instance, a lake located in a forest is an ecosystem and the whole of the forest in which the pond is situated also forms another ecosystem. Small towns and big cities are also ecosystems. Therefore, human beings are part of the ecosystem. The interaction between human and the environment can be considered concerning the interaction between the human social system and other ecosystems. The human social network entails human population, its structure, pattern, distribution, settlement, and human behavior that affect the environment positively or negatively. Human activities have continued to pose enormous impacts to the ecosystem making it less stable and unable to support life. With an increase in human actions and their effects, the environment is losing its resilience and bio capacity. This essay will address the changes that are needed in our human ecology to avoid our problems and create a more sustainable human-nature relationship.
