A) Objectives: • To study the design and implementation of combinational logic circuits. • To use various kinds of logic gates and functional devices in the implementation of combinational logic circuits. C) Hardware Requirement: • Equipment - Logic probe, Breadboard • Components - 74LS04, 74LS86, 74LS83 •- 330 ohm resistor x 14 •- LED x 14 (12 red, 2 green) D) Experiment Procedures: 1. Four-Bit Gray Code to Binary Code Converter: A Gray Code has the property that adjacent codewords differ in only one position. For example, a 4-bit Gray Code counts in the following order: 0000, 0001, 0011, 0010, 0110, 0111, 0101, 0100, 1100, 1101, 1111, 1110, 1010, 1011, 1001, 1000. a) Construct the truth table for the 4-input/4-output converter. b) Use K-map to obtain the simplified Boolean functions (both sum-of-products and product-of-sums) for the output bits....
