Unformatted text preview: Kevin Phipps Tamra Paz-Soldn December 4, 2008 Self-Evaluation My Semester Throughout the last few months, I believe that my writing has gone through some significant changes. I believe that one of my biggest struggles as a writer has been style. I often have ideas and know what I want to say, yet find it difficult to find the appropriate words to express myself. After taking Latin American Short Stories, I think that my style has definitely improved. I am starting to read some of my work out loud which allows me to find areas in my writing that need work. This has created papers that flow better overall. Style still remains somewhat of a struggle for me, however I believe it has at least improved. In order to improve my writing and take full advantage of the class, I have read all of the texts that were assigned and showed up on time to all except for one class. By doing so, I kept involved in the courses material and therefore was prepared when it came time to write papers. I also revised one of my courses material and therefore was prepared when it came time to write papers....
