Unformatted text preview: Matt Phares English 101 Section 12 James Holsinger March 18, 2008 Fire Alarms Lets face it everyone hates fire alarms, but they could end up saving our lives one day. Way back in elementary school fire alarms used to b the best thing that could happen during the day, but now they are just a flat out pain. In college fire alarms are everyones worst nightmare. Just this Sunday the towers had two fire alarms back to back. This time they were not at four in the morning but it was at nine thirty am in the twenty four degree weather. Also, it was not a very good day to have a fire alarm because more than three fourths of students living in towers were hung-over. Lets face it, this is West Virginia University and being hung-over St. Patricks Day weekend is inevitable. I know that I did not want to leave my warm bed, but yet my RA came in and forced me out of my bed into the arctic weather; only to sit there and freeze for an hour. I am positive that most students in towers just got up and locked their doors and hid for an hour....
