Fundamentals of Marketing Exam Study Suggestions Prepared by Pat Feldman, Associate Director, SMU Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center and Judy Foxman, Cox Senior Lecturer of Marketing Ten Tips to Prepare for the Exam: 1. Study both the textbook and classroom information. Class notes and PowerPoint slides are very important ! Also, USE THE EXAM REVIEW SHEET provided by Prof. Foxman as it outlines the topics that will be covered on the exam. 2. Before class, read the assigned chapter and print the PowerPoint slides, the on-line outlines provided by Prof. Foxman. They are not detailed enough to stand alone, however! During class, expand upon them; add your own notes to the printouts, or simply take separate notes as you do in a lecture class where outlines are not provided. Later, combine and study both. HINT : Writing down the examples discussed in class will help you learn the different concepts! If in question between what is said in the book versus class lecture , GO BY THE LECTURE !
