The responsibilities of a financial manager depends on their specific duty. Some of the responsibilities of a financial manager are preparation of financial statements, investment analysis, developing and implementing cash management strategies, developing and implementing long term and short term financial goals of the organization. A financial manager can be a controller, treasurer, cash manager, credit manager, risk manager etc. The specific responsibilities of such managers depend on the role. For example, a controllers responsibilities include preparation of financial statements of the company. They also make financial forecasts of the company and prepares reports to meet regulatory requirements. A treasurer is responsible for arranging funds and investment of funds.
