MAE294B/SIO203B: Methods in Applied Mechanics Winter Quarter 2010 http://maecourses.ucsd.edu/mae294b Preliminaries Instructor The instructor for winter quarter is Stefan LLEWELLYN SMITH. 1 My e-mail address is [email protected] . For quick questions this is the best way of communicating. My main office is EBUII 574 and my phone number is x23475. I also have an office at SIO. Class schedule We will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:20 pm in WLH2208. I will schedule a recitation/problem class, time and location TBD. Assignments I will assign a weekly problem set on Thursdays to be handed in the next Thursday. Questions on exams will be similar to those on assignments. Website See top of page. The homework will be posted on the website. Assessment The grade in this course is based on homeworks, a midterm, and a final exam. An approximate division is 20%, 30% and 50%, but this is by no means definite. Exams will probably be “open- note”, i.e. you may bring in hand-written material only.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
