Telephone: 206-7327 Times: 12:10-2:00 E-mail: amantilla@pima.edu Room: ST 205 Office Hours: Textbook: Thomas’Calculus, Part Two, eleventh edition, by Weir, Hass and Giordano. Publisher: Addison-Wesley Prerequisite : Within the last three years: MAT 220 (Calculus I) with a grade of C or better. Calculator Policy : Most graphing calculators (e.g. TI-84, TI-83) are allowed, but symbolic manipulators such as the TI-89 or TI-Nspire CAS cannot be used during quizzes or tests. Important Dates: January 25: Last day to add February 1: Drop/Refund/Audit deadline Feb. 25-26: Rodeo Holiday April 8: Student withdrawal deadline May 12-18: Final Exam week Homework : The assignment sheets list suggested practice problems. Depending on your individual needs, you may need to work additional problems. Students who wish to use MathXL for homework need to complete it in a timely fashion. MathXL homework, if done, will be scaled to 50 points. The MathXL ID is XL0E-K1SS-101X-3ZC2 Quizzes : Quizzes based on the homework, will be given most weeks. You will be allowed to drop at least one quiz. Quizzes cannot be made up. Grading Policy : There will be four exams (100 points each) and a comprehensive final exam, worth 100 points. Quizzes and WebAssign homework together will earn a maximum of 100 points. No make-up or early exams will be given. The final exam is optional if and only if you meet all the following conditions: You have taken all previous tests and scored at least 73% on each of them You have not missed more than one quiz
