Unformatted text preview: The four major theories or approaches to management differ in various behaviors. • • • • The Classical Theory focuses on maximizing the efficiency of job performance with little regard for the human element. The Behavioral Theory focuses on motivating the people in order to make them more efficient and productive. The Systems Theory focuses on the transformation processes and viewing the organization as a whole and as the interrelationship of its parts. The Contingency Theory focuses on the particular situation the organization is dealing with. All four theories have their own advantages and possible disadvantages if not implemented in the correct business structure. I would support the Contingency Theory as an overall for my business module. Every business is unique in it’s in own way as well as the professionals running it. With this theory as the overall approach to running a business, each manager can implement the proper system to make their department run most efficiently. ...
