104A CN08 The Three Appeals of Argument (Persuasive Writing) Administrative I’ve repaired our SmartSite Assignment(s) for Monday, April 26, 2009 Because I’m having trouble getting the 1/10ths of a Second on to our SmarSite  on a  timely basis, I’d like to open up a discussion about presenting this material in class,  instead, without exercises. I would then distribute the 10% as follows: o +5% to “Class Presence” o +5% to “Quarter-End Test” I’d like students to feel free to answer in any way you like, so   SmartSite|Polls, which  are anonymous. Review More “scaffolding” of writing assignments: doing one task and then another task and then another, etc. o Monday’s first task: to discuss the readings together in class o Today’s second task: to learn about the three ways that argument can persuade, because if we know these, we can make choices that help us meet our objective,
