Acceptable exposure limit for normal healthy adults for an 8 hour day; 40 hour week and 50 week year without adverse effects. Based on an 8 hour time weighted average if only 4 hour exposures you can go with 2 times TLV NEVER exceed 3 times the TLV. STEL : Short term exposure limit. Describes the maximum acceptable concentration for up to 15 min with no more than 4 exposures per day and at least one hour between exposures. If no short term exposure limit is available then use 3 times TLV-TWA. Types of masks : ½ mask, from under chin to bridge of nose, PF of 10 for about 75% with a 4 point suspension. ¼ mask, from top to chin to bridge of nose, not 75% with a 4 point suspension....
