Gender Identity 2 Gender Identity The difference between a one’s assigned gender and one’s gender identity lies within the psychological calm. Someone may have deemed male at birth, this person may not psychological relate to being a male. A person may feel more comfortable being feminine rather than masculine. While person’ assigned gender is male their gender identity is actually feminine. When a person chooses a career path or occupation it has an impact on their identity. People who have grown up with a less fortunate upbringing or even a parent that lives off the state is more likely to follow in their parents footsteps and choose not to go out to work. This maybe all because they do not have a degree or the opportunities to study toward a profession that they want to do. So as well as choosing an occupation that is according to your identity, a particular occupation can affect your identity. A way person is treated as an infant or even a child it can help shape ones gender
