In the past they have been a lot of controversies that is regarding homosexuality. With some people they have viewed homosexuality as an abomination, and others accepted it as a natural way of life. The homosexuals can be described as one of the most condemned minorities in existence, but also they can be described as one of the most enduring minorities. In historical and scientific influences has a significant effect on how homosexuals perceive themselves as well as how society perceives them. In the first historical perspective it is to be discussed as the Western Culture. The typical Western Culture male-male homosexuality was more readily accepted as the female-female homosexuality. The men have been as the superior gender while women were only necessary for producing children (Peterson, 1999). In some Roman men would actually on a more feminine identity by dressing and acting more like women than a man (Nevid, Rathus & Fiechner-Rathus, 2005).
